Subject:January Books
Time:7:57 am.
Mood: awake.
I woke up at 6:30 after having the most bazar dream. I dreamt I was living in Nazi Germany, mid 30's I suppose. They were making us do all these running drills. It was weird. I just woke up thinking wtf. I like to pretend it was my ancestors reaching out to me like in devil's advocate (which I was able to recommend to a girl yesterday!), but they came here before that. Weird.

Anywho here's my booklist for January....

January
1. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
2. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
3. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness (inspired by Siobhan Dowd)
4. Enclave by Ann Aguirre
5. The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson
6. Sailor Moon, Vol. 2 by Naoko Takeuchi
7. Sailor Moon, Vol. 3 by Naoko Takeuchi
8. The Sigh by Marjane Satrapi

Time:12:31 pm.
Mood: blah.
who's procrastinating? thats right, me. I'm half way done with my paper and have hit a wall. This is a really simple paper too that i should be banging out.

I love rutgers in the summer time. I'm sitting at my old work table in the music library and its pure silence down here. The whole library, and campus for that matter, is deserted. I love it. I wish it was this peaceful all the time. Reminds me of weekends at Rowan, though I suppose weekends at Rutgers during the school year arent that bad.

i havent updated in a while, but ive been so fucking busy and stressed out with school. the month of june was pretty much a blur of school, work, and boy, with some other fun scattered in between.

I forgot to update my booklist for may. books for the last two months...

In addition to textbooks and articles, I'm in the midst of reading game of thrones, matched, incarceron, evermore, and divergent.

Alright, its 12:30, I should get back to my paper for reals so I can get out of here around 2. later.

I can't believe I'm still up. I've been trying to fall asleep since 12:30. Usually a good cry tires me out :/ I need to be up at 6, I find this problematic.

My mind has been wandering a bit since my inital outburst of happiness :/ I keep trying to remind myself how upset I was over my first boyfriend in 8th grade and how silly that seems now. Doesn't really work, but I an pretend it does.

Subject:Julie Klausner is my new hero
Time:6:38 pm.
Mood: hopeful.
So Tuesday night was fun. The festivities at stuff yer face wern't as grand as I thought they'd be. A lot of people were missing and since everyone came in pairs it disolved quickly. I dunno, I thought it'd be like Frankie's going away party, but I guess people still had finals as opposed to the begining of the semester when we all barely had homework. Wound up hanging out with some poeple after, which was fun. I woke up Tuesday feeling pretty fantastic, but Brittney reminded me what I was upset about in the first place so went back to be mopey at work yesterday. Blahhhh

I'm finally reading Julie Klausner's book I don't care about your band. I feel like she's writing my life story haha I love it so far. I;d underline my favorite passage, but it's a majority of the book so far.

Going to hang out with Lori finally! yay!

I am clearly not meant to be a social scientist. How the fuck does one expand "My method for this study was conducting 20 minute, single session, semi-structured interviews with four women who proclaim themselves to be readers of romance novels". fuck.

Subject:I hate people
Time:7:28 pm.
Mood: blah.
Things heard on the radio this morning...

-It would be un-American for the mets to lose tonight
-If the Giants win, they're communists. 9/11 didn't happen in San Francisco.
-Since the Yankees are off tonight, all Yankees fans should be rooting for the Mets. It's not just a win for the mets, but for New York and America as a whole

finished reading all of ellen hopkin's books. The crank trilogy was good, especially the last one, Fallout. Its told from the kids points of view (it takes place 20 years after the events of Crank and Glass). It shows how addiction affects everyone around the addict and can become a multi-generational thing. Also of note was Tricks. I didn't have time to reread it, but it brings light to the issue of human trafficking in this country. She was inspired to write this book after learning that the average age of a prostitute in this country is 12. ugh.

Anyway, here's the April list.

Subject:the rain drops. the rain drops. the rain drops.
Time:11:46 pm.
Mood: accomplished.
I wrote an article for the front page of the libraries site! I saw the sunday paper lying on the kitchen table yesterday and there was an article about how today is the 150th anniversary of the start of the civil war. When I saw it I was thought "aw we shouldve done something at the library for it!" So today at work I mentioned it to one of the librarians and she said if I picked out two songs we could probably throw something together real quick. She read my article and is going to e-mail it to the guy in charge of that shit tomorrow. The article focuses on the popular Confederate song "The Bonnie Blue Flag" and the Northern response to it "The Bonnie, Red, White, and Blue or Our Beautiful Flag" (cause you know, it was a wonderful tune, it just had disgusting lyrics lol). Hopefully, all goes well and it gets put on the site soon.

That was followed by the worst ride home ever. It's one thing when its raining, but its another when its torrential downpour, cant see an inch in front of me with a UPS truck up my ass. The rain let up a little by the time I got home, but I skipped capo so I could get some homework done/it was only a matter of time before the rain picked back up. I went to Biano's class yesterday. It was great. They're doing angola this month so my back is killed me today lol He mostly focused on bridge and the things we do in my group normally which is good since I can barely do them :) Went out with Joni, Pacato, and Aladim afterwords. That was fun, but I feel old now since we were talking about Rutgers parties and how we're all too old for them (even though I'm the same age/younger than some of the people in that group) lol Speaking of which, the batizado was fun, it was awesome to see everyone that I haven't seen in over a month

I have all of Ellen Hopkins books out of the library for my project. It's a very intimidating site having them all stacked in one giant pile on top of my bed stand thing. :/

There's only three weeks of class left! This statement is exciting, yet horrifying all at the same time. Soooo much shit to do before the end of the semester. I better get back to the homeworks. later.
